January 2008 Visit

Veering away from Sam's House for a moment... my mother and I arrived in Nepal two days ago for a visit. We're still in KTM, heading to Pokhara tomorrow. So if you'll allow the intrusion, I wanted to post some photos for family and friends about the trip to date.

Walking across the tarmac at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Carole getting her visa at the KTM airport. Interpol was notified.

Shopping in Ason after the workday.

Lunch with Anita's family. From left: Anita, Marin, Jeni, Anita's mother, and Manika.

Up the stairs to Swayambhunath.

From Swayambhunath you can see all of the Kathmandu Valley.

Swayambhunath at sunset.
